In 1991, QEHS2, LLC founder Jay Serra started the CADD Source, a drafting service utilizing Autocad and specializing in environmental drafting. CADD Source was a hired gun for all disciplines including structural engineering, architectural firms, industrial hygiene engineers, environmental engineering, arms manufacturers, MEP engineering firms, and the publishing industry. With Jay's experience being detail oriented, paired with his experience understanding document controls and the development of set standards, he soon transitioned into management consulting.
In 1997, Jay and his father launched IsoTech, a company that focused on process mapping, corrective and preventive action, continual Improvement and the building blocks of implementing a business management system.
It wasn't until 2009 that Jay combined his background in drafting with his recent experience in quality, environmental and health and safety activities. From 2009, his company Business Improvement Systems worked with many businesses implementing management systems and achieving registration. Of the hundreds of companies that his team dealt with, all of them attained their registrations and many still use their services to maintain their certifications.
In 2016, he started QEHS2, LLC as a separate entity from Business Improvement Systems (now known as BIDS, Inc).
